How many years have you worked in the industry, and what qualifications do you have?
Over 30 years – a lot of qualifications and experience! City & Guilds NVQ Level 3, and a City & Guilds Assessor Award.
How did you get in to hairdressing?
I helped out sweeping hair 30 years ago and here I am still enjoying every minute!
What keeps you motivated?
Most people, after having their hair done, feel relaxed, happy and have enjoyed the experience, and I’m there to share the moment with them.
Which famous person’s hairstyle would you like to change?
Camilla Parker Bowles – her hair does not get my Royal Seal of Approval!
What do you enjoy about your work?
Meeting both old and new clients, and knowing you’re going to make a difference to their day.
Where do you go on holiday, and how do you enjoy yourself?
Abroad around the Med and now I’m venturing further afield – Las Vegas this year to celebrate 25 years of marriage!
Favourite celeb, music, TV show, film and hobbies?
CSI, most crime thrillers, Armageddon, The Goonies, cooking and bingo.
